Harbour Island

Nicholas is already working on his next novel, Harbour Island, which is about the dark side of the television entertainment business. Set in Tampa and Los Angeles, it is another suspense thriller which follows the rise and fall of a young entertainment executive.  Here is an exerp from the upcoming novel:

"...The experience at the morgue had been harrowing and memorable. It had made Alex nauseous and sick, and it was the source of continued nightmares. The sight of the bullet wound and the dried blood in Carter's snowy white hair was forever imprinted in Alex's mind. The cosmetic touches of the mortician had hidden the wound at the wake for everyone else, but not for Alex.  Only Katie knew of the experience, for he had told no one else about his visit to the morgue.

     The ongoing homicide investigation had impacted the business as well; and Alex spent more than a few hours with Detective Wilson as he examined the business office of the founder. Unfortunately, Alex learned that there were no suspects and no motives.

  "It's almost as if this was a professional hit," Wilson told him. "We didn't find any evidence, so whoever murdered him knew what they were doing." It bothered Alex that his mentor's murderer was both anonymous and free. It made him uneasy, angry and scared..."
